To get a full tube preamplifier at this price is outstanding. There is a big oil capacitor in the power filtering stage, the non oil caps are ceramics, Panasonics and Sanyos and Rifas. The resistors are good ceramics, with four red tone resistors towards the middle of the board. Tube rolling needs to be very gentle, it’s a good idea to put your finger on the inside to support the base. The signal tubes need upgrading, and it sounds very good with better tubes. It looks like it might be overly loud but with the loudness switch off it sounds like a 12-14 db gain pre. It’s got that full tube sound, Toney and lush. Full tube sound and no hum or noise at this price makes it a go for it without hesitation deal. The Bluetooth is pretty good. The remote is not fancy but it works and adjusts the volume without big jumps. I haven’t tried the headphones yet. Runs good and warm but not crazy hot. The voltage tubes get very warm as voltage tubes always do. This is a real audio bargain at this price, price to performance ratio is off the charts.
